The Symphony of ColorThe First Solo Art Exhibition
By Donna Morgan
The Healing & Learning Center is proud to present the visionary (and fun) art of Donna Morgan in her first Solo Art Exhibition. Her work is imaginative, bursting with color, and often other-worldly. You can’t help but feel the true “Joie de vivre” (Joy of Life) in all her work.
The exhibit showcases Donna’s exploration of the self through a range of art mediums including mixed media, encaustic, paper sculpture, and intuitive abstract art. She also transforms old discarded and vintage materials and reworks them into new forms to be appreciated and loved once again. Intuitive abstract painting is a vehicle that transforms her mind and spirit. Her work takes you on a journey through the beautiful contrasting realities and phases of all living things. She finds inspiration in nature focusing on the splendors of the seasons unleashed in their full glory.
Join us and enjoy delicious homemade hors d’oeuvres and wine tasting in a friendly and casual atmosphere, while feasting your eyes on her colorful and uplifting art. Talk to this intuitive, inspiring and talented artist. We are so fortunate to have her shining her light in our community.

Donna was raised in a very creative atmosphere of arts and crafts by her mother and grandmother who embraced the artistic spirit. In her adult life Donna spent many years happily juggling work and family, yet never embracing the artist that desperately wanted to be set free. After a life altering health challenge she began exploring her inner self and discovered that her artistic expression is a powerful healing force.
Donna says, “In a meditative state I allow myself the freedom to fully embrace my creativity and put my spirit in motion. Through unstructured play I have experienced personal growth and spiritual awareness. With every layer and every piece I find a deeper understanding of God and the love the Universe has for me.”
Donna was published in the summer 2016 issue of Summerset Studios Gallery Magazine. She also created a piece for the 2017 “Recycled Runway” event held at the Corning Museum of Glass, Corning NY. Her works are also on display at Skyland Farms Gallery in Hector NY. Many of these works will be included in her first one-woman show. In addition, she was formerly represented by Quintus Gallery.
Donna lives in upstate New York with her husband and a huge garden that has grown completely out of control.
